The final round of matches in Group A concluded with EXTREMUM beating Bad News Bears to secure a spot in the fifth place decider.
paiN have secured a berth to the PGL Stockholm Major following the conclusion of the final matches in Group A. Additionally, EXTREMUM have moved on to the fifth place decider, where they will have the opportunity to defend their chance at earning a Major spot.
paiN dominated ATK on Nuke to pick up a swift victory, and had their spot in the Major confirmed after Liquid handed Extra Salt a similarly one-sided defeat on Inferno — eliminating Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and company from contention.
The third match, between EXTREMUM and Bad News Bears, was then left to decide which team would end the group in third and move on to the fifth place decider, a necessity for Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman's side if they wanted any hope of making it to Stockholm.
However, EXTREMUM were the ones to come out on top of the match-up, putting on a clinic on the CT side of Inferno before putting a halt to comeback effort from Bad News Bears in the second half to end Group A in third place.
